Writing good Articles

Good articles are considered to be of satisfactory quality and meet the genuine article criteria and have passed through the genuine article nomination process successfully.

Generally Articles are:

•  Well written,

•  Factually accurate and verifiable,

•  Comprehensive in coverage,

•  Objective in point of view

•  Illustrated where possible by relevant images with proper copyright licenses.

Good articles need not be as detailed as featured articles, but they should not omit any key facets of the topic, a comparison of the criteria for acceptable and featured articles describes other differences.

For any writer to come up with a good article, they should first study widely on the subject matter, equip themselves as writers with the most updated information about the subject, to avoid loopholes which might lead to criticism.

The writer should think carefully, on what to say and how to say it. They should think about what will be creative and of interest to the readers, without telling them what they already know. The writer should identify a topic and carefully unfold it logically.
